SOS Children's Village of Zambia Trust

The main objective of the Family Strengthening Programmes (FSPs) , is to mitigate circumstances which lead to abandonment of children. The FSP through its community outreach programme supports child and grand mother headed households from surrounding shanty compounds. The FSP outreach programme supports households  with food, clothing, medical care through our Medical Centers, income generating activities and child education in conjunction with the Hermann Gmeiner schools and Government school.

The FSP last year identified some Income Generating Activities (IGAs) and empowered  the beneficiaries with skills. Among others, the activities included Sausage Making and Mushroom Growing.

The idea behind IGAs is to help our beneficiaries to become self reliant and sustaining.
